How can informal learning be recognised by employers?

The basic skill set is changing, yet informal learning is still often unrecognised. Many learners often obtain skills through mediums that are unacknowledged by educational institutions or employers, this can create unnecessary barriers for those wanting to progress in education or employment.

This project is a campaign which challenges employers to look beyond traditional, formal learning and start recognising informal learning as experience.

Why Disorderly Education?

Disorderly Education is a campaign which brings awareness to informal learning. It highlights education which may not be as traditional through the showcasing of skills which don't necessarily need accreditation to prove that. We learn through so many different mediums, community based learning, social learning, experience learning etc. It's time that these mediums are recognised.
